Practice management systems have little in comon with billing systems

Accounting consultant Ric Payne of Principa believes the vast majority of professional service firms have unprofitable clients or customers without knowing it. He maintains that time and billing systems only masquerade as practice management tools. Ric Payne has a series of strategies which includes "sacking" unprofitable clients. He also believes that few people in professional services actually know their costs or show any interest in them.
