A new survey reveals a massive skills shortage in finance and accounting, with almost 90% of employers now struggling to find and keep good talent.

The latest survey by recruitment specialists Robert Half confirms what many employers in finance and accounting have been experiencing for a while. How to find, and keep, good talent has become a major stumbling block in the search for great employees - the kind of people with great skills, who will stay with you and help your firm succeed beyond all competition. According to the survey, a massive 88% of employers are now struggling to find such people. Add to this a further 70% of hiring managers who worry that their top performers will quit for better opportunities elswehere, and a big employment issue is revealed across the accounting industry. Andrew Brushfield of Robert Half outlines the findings of the survey, with some constructive advice for employers onhow to attract skilledstaff, and how to ensure they stay with yourather than jump ship for better offers elsewhere.
