Walking the Kokoda Track can bring clarity and focus in life and in business.

The Kokoda Track destroyed the lives of so many diggers during World War 2. Now, a Victoria Police project is seeing Kokoda bring positive change to young Australians who've lost direction in life, and to those who've chosen to sponsor them and walk with them along the infamous "walk".

Ken Matthews got involved. Before walking the track, Ken felt that he too lacked direction in life. But Kokoda gave him time to think - because there is very little else to do but be alone with your thoughts - and in just eight days it changed his life, helping him examine his priorities and what was most important to him.

Ken needed to train extremely hard to just make it to Kokoda, but once there it was a distraction- free opportunity to think and plan ahead for his business. Now it has become such a strong team-building and leadership experience that seven of his colleagues have made the trip.
